For me, handhelds have always been incredibly lame. I just couldn’t get into them the way I could with other systems, but on the advice of a friend, I recently decided to buy DSI, and I am so glad I did. Not only is it easy to take with me wherever I go, it is also easy to play with others, even when they are far away. I can take it to the student lounge between my classes, use it in the library, and even use it on the city bus. I really love the fact that I can challenge my little sister or my best friend who is at another college, and play them like we were together.

The photo sharing options are great too, especially the option to use the interactive camera. It makes it seem even more like you are both right there. You can also use different lenses, making the photos hilarious.

Another great thing about this system, and one that I use an awful lot, is the chat mode. I can talk to a fellow gamer while I’m beating him! Using it makes it easier to be so far away from everyone I know. We can, and do, still have some of the same interaction we had before I left for grad school.

I wanted to buy Nintendo DSI for all of those reasons, but it’s become much more. I have a friend who has had it for a while, and he kept telling me how great it was. When I went to visit him and saw it in action, I was hooked. Not only did I buy one for myself, but I talked my parents into buying one for my little sister, and they are very glad they did. My mom says it has made the transition so much easier on her. She is only 14, and we are very close. She’s the reason I did my undergrad work locally, but now, with this wonderful way to connect whenever we want to, share pictures, and even chat, we are both adjusting pretty well to the situation.

This is the best console I’ve ever owned, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves to play but wants some other very real features as well. It covers it all. Games, chatting, and photo sharing. What more could you ask?

For me, that’s video games. My wife offers me space when I first come in the door at night. She knows that I need some down time before I can relax with her and the kids. I need a little time to blow off the stress of the day and just zone out. What I usually do during that first hour home at night is sit alone in the family room and play for awhile.

Since I went to buy Nintendo dsi, I have been having more fun at home, by myself but also with friends. I love the combination of being alone and yet being able to interact with other people. I feel like I have a huge console because of all of the options involved. The reality, though, is that it’s really small – smaller than most of the handhelds I’ve ever even seen.

My favorite feature is the camera and photo options. There are two cameras, each with a different view. One faces me when I play, so that whoever I am playing against can see me. It is almost like a web cam, and it is very interactive. The other camera faces to the outside of the system, and I can take pictures with it using one of the lenses that came with the system. Another feature that I really like is the pictochat. I can literally chat with the person I’m playing. This can help with learning how to play better, communicating just for the sake of communication, and also be a great way to intimidate my opponent. Making threats and trying to deceive an opponent while we play have become some of the tactics I’m good at.

When I read some of the Nintendo dsi reviews, I was really impressed with the number of older people, meaning older than high school age, who use and love this system. Gamers come in all ages, and sometimes when you aren’t a beginner you might think that a handheld console like this one is not for you. I have proven to myself that size makes no difference when it comes to quality.

When I think about my initial thoughts on this console, I am sure that I wouldn’t have decided to buy dsi if I hadn’t personally tried it. I had some misconceptions and doubts about how good it would be compared to what I was used to, but now, I love it and play it more than I should. Oh, and my girlfriend has bought one since I got mine. Now, even if we end up being together for good, there will be no fighting over it.

You know what they say – good things come in small packages. That has proven to be true in this case. I can play more often because this system is very portable. All I have to do is pack it up and bring it along. It fits right in my backpack, and even in my briefcase. I am an intern at a local university, and I bring it with me to use between classes.

In my opinion, this is really the best console on the market yet. It’s portable, easy to learn, and challenging. What’s more, though, is there’s always new options for the existing games, so there are tons of ways to play. It’s exactly what I wanted, and now I know it.

The financial expense of replacing everything would have been atrocious, so my parents decided not to replace some of the stuff right away so they could replace things one by one. One thing that wasn’t going to get replaced right away were our consoles. We did make amends, though. Rather than getting my brother and me a full sized system, they bought us each a Nintendo dsi.

They spent less money on them than it would have taken to replace our others, but now that we have them, we realize that it really was only a downgrade in terms of size. The quality of products combined with the quantity of fun and interactive options is much higher than what we had before. I’m not glad we had the fire, but I am glad we got these new handhelds.

I can even access my choices in music by using a standard SD Card. With so many options, this is much more than a system, it’s an opportunity to delve into a new method of gaming.

To anyone who is serious about their gaming, I would say buy Nintendo DSI now! It’s like buying a netbook and the best system on the market all in one. More options than you ever thought possible open with this console.

Sharing with friends, whether it be pictures, a game, or a fun afternoon of exploring the things you can enjoy together with the console will all make your investment well worthwhile. Seriously, only from the best gaming company in the world could you possibly get an avenue of possibilities with something lightweight and easily portable.

Making the right console choice may not always be easy, especially if you’ve heard the exaggerated promises from other companies in the past. This one is different, though, in more ways that you may have thought possible. Check it out for yourself. I sure am glad I did.
