Within the last three years, I have owned four different game consoles. Nintendo dsi is the first handheld system that I’ve ever purchased, and I am loving it. As a matter of fact, I am really quite impressed with this little system.
You know what they say – good things come in small packages. That has proven to be true in this case. I can play more often because this system is very portable. All I have to do is pack it up and bring it along. It fits right in my backpack, and even in my briefcase. I am an intern at a local university, and I bring it with me to use between classes.
When I decided to buy dsi, it was really sort of a spur of the moment decision. I had been at the college, on my break, and one of the students came into the cafeteria and sat at the table across from me. He reached in his backpack, and pulled out this little handheld console. I watched as he began to use it, and before I knew it, I had moved over to his table.
He was very happy to show it off, and he even let me give it a try. When I was on my way home that night, I stopped by an electronics store and bought one for myself. One thing he hadn’t showed me, which I was very happy to find, was the ability to chat with my opponent. I have a friend who lives about 200 miles away, and he had told me that he had this system. I brushed him off at the time; after all, who wants such a small console?
As soon as I got in the door after going to buy dsi for myself, I called him. We set a time and began playing over the Internet. When the chat option popped up, I was very surprised. He was chatting with me. Then, I was able to have him help me figure out all of the cool stuff about the system as we played together..
Now, we play almost every night after work. I also play on my breaks, and I love to share photos with some of my friends who now own their own. In my opinion, this is really the best console on the market yet. It’s portable, easy to learn, and challenging. What’s more, though, is there’s always new options for the existing games, so there are tons of ways to play. It’s exactly what I wanted, and now I know it.
