I have wanted a handheld system for a couple of years, but my parents wouldn’t allow it. They said that I had to share with my little brother, and we had to take turns and learn how to be co-owners before I could ever have my own.
I must have done a good job with that because for my birthday last month, they decided to buy Nintendo DSI for me, just me. I turned 13, and I have never had a better birthday present. My brother is only 10, and they said that since I have this now, he can have the other one that we used to share. At first I thought that they weren’t being fair. After all, I had to wait to own my own and he gets to at 10?
After I compared the two systems, though, I don’t feel that way anymore. He has a simple handheld that allows for two-player interaction on just a few of the titles. That’s all though. He is very limited to what he can do, just like I always was. The only difference for him is that there isn’t always someone to play with because I have my own system now.
My new one, on the other hand, allows me to challenge someone even when we aren’t together. Maybe that’s part of what makes the internet connection with this so cool. I get an interactive experience whenever I like. I can also chat with my friends on it, which is something I have wanted to do for so long. Between gaming, talking, and looking up, I have to admit that I’m online most of the time with this.
One thing that my mom showed me, and the reason she likes this system so much, is that I can take pictures and share them with others. There are virtually two cameras, and there are about 10 or more lenses, so you can take pictures, see who you are playing, and share with others. It’s rad that all of this comes with one console.
I may be only 13, but I know a good thing when I see it. And this is by far, the best present ever, and probably the best portable console ever. I’m glad my parents made me wait. Now I really appreciate that they decided to buy Nintendo DSI for me, and I am happier than ever.
