When I was looking for something to add to my social life, I never would have thought that something like a game system would fit my needs. I was telling a friend about how I wanted to become more social, and she suggested that I look into one of the newer game consoles, like the one she has.
I know it sounds rude, but I laughed. I really thought she was joking. After all, who would have thought that a game system would be able to improve your social life? Then, when she kept telling me she was serious, I finally made the decision to look into it.
When I got off the phone with her, I went on the Internet and looked for a website with a Nintendo dsi review. What I found were some great suggestions and reviews that suggested that most of the people who use this system look at it as more than a way to play. They look at it as something that will help them keep in touch with family and friends.
After reading all those great reviews, I called my friend again. I told her I was really interested, but wanted to see firsthand how it works. She told me to come over, and when I got there I used the WiFi connection to play with someone, and I must have spent an hour racing against other players in MarioKart. I had so much fun.
I was really surprised at all the things I was able to do with what seems like such a tiny little console. While I was playing, I learned how to use the chat option. Then my friend showed me how to use the camera option. That did it; I was convinced that I had to buy Nintendo dsi for myself. It would definitely improve my social life, and offer me more options as far as what titles to play, how to play them, and how interactive I wanted to be with whomever I am playing.
Since then, I have had a blast with my new console and my friends who live close by and far away. It doesn’t require leaving my house to be with my friends, but if I go someplace, it is portable enough to bring along. My social life is better because I bought something that I once laughed about. Now, my friends don’t have to come over, and we can still play. My social life will never be the same.
