I have been enjoying my new game system more than I ever remember enjoying any other. My mom and dad decided to buy Nintendo DSI for me for my 16th birthday. I had played it at a friend’s house a few weeks before my birthday, and when he showed me everything he could do with it, I was really impressed with it.

Since I now have my own system, I can play my friend whenever I want to. We don’t even have to be together to play; we can connect to the Internet through the system and play each other that way. I can also play alone, which makes it more interesting when there is nothing else to do.

My favorite game to play alone is the Sudoko-hen. I love trying to outdo my last score. I am a math freak, so this is right up my alley. When I’m playing with a friend, we usually end up playing Mario or another game title where competitive play is essential. There are so many apps that are constantly being added to the already available ones. Downloading them is easy when I connect to the DSI shop on the Internet. They are always adding new titles too, so it’s almost impossible to choose a favorite and stick with it.

One thing that I wasn’t expecting is how helpful this system is with my homework. There are calculators for me to use, and even conversion functions with the Mario calculator. There are also art style apps that I can use, including one for creating my own graffiti.

I also love all the other aspects of this system, particularly the ability to chat with friends. I can do that while I’m actually playing or I can just use the system for that. I also like being able to see who I am playing against with the interactive camera. The pictures can be fun, silly, serious, or any variation we want, because there are many lenses that come with the cameras. There are two cameras, one facing me when I play, and one looking the other way. With so many options, taking pics and sharing them has never been more fun.

I’m really glad I got this system. My mom and dad made the right decision when they decided to buy Nintendo DSI for me. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present. Now, I can play all the games I want alone or with friends. And with this one, there are more new options on a constant basis. I love the freedom and the variety.
