New System, More Options

General

Even though I have been into gaming for more than 10 years, I find that I still want something that is simple enough to understand without having to go through a lot, easy to transport, and allows for options other consoles simply don’t offer.

Those are the reasons I decided to buy a DSI. I have owned other systems that were similar in size and easily portable, but this is the first one I have come across that offers me more than a bunch of cool titles. It offers me what I would only get otherwise from a compact netbook.

Now that I own it, I am so glad I made that decision. I have the ability to bring it wherever I want. It’s small enough that it fits in a small backpack and it’s not as cumbersome as a lot of the others on the market. It’s incredibly user-friendly, and with the advantages of being able to go online and get help with a given title, find some game instructions, or even buy some of the new stuff on the market that has been exclusively designed just for those who get oneI, a whole new world of possibilities is open.

Along with the ease of use and learning the games, I also love the ability to play with someone who is far away, see them by using the interactive camera, and carry on a conversation by using the built-in chat feature. It is almost as good as playing in person. I have been able to play against relatives who live far away, my college roommate- whom I haven’t seen in three years, and even against people I have never met in person.

This console is the most fun, versatile, and worthwhile purchase I have ever made. I plan on spreading the word about it. I’ve actually already talked a few people into buying one. Now, with all the fun I’m having, I plan to use it on my next road trip. After all, I will not only be able to use it to keep in touch with family with the chat option, but I can share my vacation pictures, and use it to interact with people, even if I don’t really want to play while I’m on vacation.

Gaming has never been better, and continual access to a console is easier than ever with this. It is way more than I expected; it’s a tool that I don’t want to be without, and I plan to take with me wherever I go.
