No Longer Afraid of Gaming

General

I never really thought I’d be good with video game titles. When I saw the newest in handheld console, one glance had me convinced that I’d be horrible with it. It looked so complicated, and I was certain it would be hard to figure out how to play each title or use the features that came with it.

My friend showed me her new console, though, and I was really surprised at how much easier it looked to use than some of the others I had seen in the past. She had me give it a try. I played one of the Mario games on it, and I was really amazed that I had no problem catching on. I had always considered myself a little ignorant when it came to these things, so seeing that I could really do it was fun.

Then, when she showed me how to use the WiFi to connect and play against someone else. The fact that the other player was literally in another state really blew me away. I was playing and so was he, but it was more than that. We were able to talk to each other with the chat feature, and even see each other with the interactive camera. I think that’s what finally convinced me. I was hooked on something that I had never thought I could be good at.

I went to buy Nintendo DSI, and I got quite a bit of help picking the console out. My friend was so happy that I was buying it that she insisted on helping me choose the color and the titles I added. As soon as I got home, she helped me learn how to work my own system. That night was the beginning of my gaming life.

I am 21, and I am new to the gaming world as a whole, but I am getting better at it than I ever imagined I could. My favorite parts of playing are being able to connect and play someone through the WiFi feature, talk to them, and see them. I have even learned how to download and apply new apps. Managing my account was a little daunting at first, but I figured it out pretty quickly.

After my own experiences, I have only this advice to offer - anyone who is toying with the idea of trying a new console should certainly consider this one. I recommend that anyone new to gaming buy Nintendo DSI. If I can learn it and love it, anyone can.
