If you’re looking for a great gift for your wife who stays at home with the kids, take it from me, a full time mom, that the Nintendo DSi will be a great gift. Sure, moms are busy. They take care of every little thing the kids need, they prepare meals, they wash dishes, they scrub the toilet, and they wade through endless rivers of dirty laundry to come out with your family’s clean clothes on the other side… but they need some fun time too. That’s why it’s a great idea to go ahead and buy Nintendo DSi for her. As far as the games, I have a few suggestions, but it may be a good idea to get her a gift certificate and let her pick out her own game cartridges. Puzzle games are always popular, and so are the brain exercise games. There are cooking games that will work in the Nintendo DSi system that she can use in the kitchen, but that may seem like work so buy that one carefully. And she just might like some of the Mario or Donkey Kong games. Those are always fun.
The Nintendo DSi reviews are full of info on how great the internet access is going to be for gamers. There will be an online store where she can download games, which means that she won’t have to drag the kids out to the store so she can pick out a new game when she’s bored. Plus, with the vastly improved speakers, she’ll be able to listen to music files with the DSi, and she’ll even be able to download all her favorite songs to the DSi and store them in external memory. Once you find out where to buy Nintendo DSi, you should also pick up an extra SD memory card so she can use the built in digital camera feature to take pictures of the little ones with the DSi. And then she can just pop out the memory card and take it to the kiosk at the store to get the pictures printed out.
She will be so happy if you decide to buy Nintendo DSi for her, and she’ll be even happier when she gets to sit down during nap times and quiet times to play games on her own portable game system. They are really entertaining, and she will surely love it as much as I do. The speakers can be turned all the way down, and the backlit screen can be turned all the way up so that it’s the perfect quiet activity for mom to do while the kids sleep in a darkened bedroom and mom sits a few feet away in a rocking chair. I only have the DS Lite, but I’m looking forward to upgrading as soon as the new DSi is released. Just one more thing though, before you go out and buy Nintendo DSi- you may end up buying them for yourself and the kids as well, because they are so much fun that everyone will want one!
