I just heard that they are going to be introducing a new portable game system, the Nintendo DSi, sometime next year. I am very excited about it, and let me tell you why. I currently have a DS Lite, and I am very happy with it. I play brain exercise games on my breaks at work, and it has really helped me to be able to think on my feet and find creative ways to solve problems. I play puzzle games in the evening, like Tetris and Puzzle League. I really enjoy the system I have, but I have been reading lots of reviews on the internet, and I think that system will be even better than the one I have now.
I am nearing in on forty years old, and I have noticed that my eyesight isn’t what it used to be. The new system is supposed to have a noticeably larger screen size on both of the screens, and since I’m sure they’re not going to try to squeeze more graphics into the extra space, that will mean that everything on screen will be bigger. That will really help with my ability to see what I’m doing. Maybe I’ll even be able to play the games without my glasses on- I only use my glasses for close work because I am farsighted. It would be nice if I could buy Nintendo DSi and then not have to use my glasses to play with it. That would really make things easier. But I guess we shall see.
I am a little nervous about the internet capability. I mean, I’m sure it will work great, but I don’t know how to use the internet on a little hand held device. I guess it will just take some getting used to. Even after being nervous about it, I bet I’ll be using the internet like a pro just a couple months after I buy DSi. That’s usually how it works. I was pretty nervous about texting from my phone too, when I first bought it. But know I can do it without even thinking too much about it. I guess that’s the way it works with any kind of new technology.
I plan to buy a DSi as soon as it comes out. I know that some people wait until the price goes down on an item before they buy it, but I don’t think that will happen with the DSi. After all, look at how long the DS Lite has been on the market and the price today is still the same as it was the day it was introduced. When an item sells like hotcakes at the original price, the company that makes it won’t reduce the price to sell more units. The only way the price would ever go down is if no one was buying it. I don’t think that will be the case with the DSi. I think as soon as people find out where to buy Nintendo DSi, they will be lining up to get theirs. I hope the stores are ready with plenty of them.
