I mean, the Lite hasn’t been on the market very long, and now they already have an upgrade. Normally companies wait a while to release an upgrade so that more people have a chance to buy the last version first. But Nintendo is right on the proverbial ball with this new system. It’s not an upgrade for the DS Lite you may have now, but it is an all new upgraded model. Maybe they were so happy about the new product that they just couldn’t wait to release it, but that’s ok because I can’t wait to buy one. I have a feeling that once I get a Nintendo DSi, I will like it even more than the last version. It seems like it has lots of neat features that I’ll have fun using.
I think the best part of the DSi will be the internet capability. If I understand this right, users will be able to play with other users around the world via internet and there will definitely be an online store where users can download all kinds of games. And you can get to the online store from anywhere that you can get WiFi internet access. That should be pretty handy. I’m actually online today looking for where to buy Nintendo DSi so I can be one of the first to try it out. That will be cool for a change. I’m usually one of the last to get a new toy or device and by the time I get one it’s old news. So because of that, it will be a real treat to buy Nintendo DSi when it is still brand new on the market. Plus, I’ll be able to go online to one of the many online shopping websites and write a review as one of the first users. That will be pretty fun I think. I’ll just have to be sure and get an SD memory card for it so that I can take pictures with the digital camera function. And a new pair of tiny headphones to that I can listen to music since the DSi can download and play music files too.
I’m really glad that I won’t have to go out and buy all new games when I buy a DSi. I will probably buy a new game or two, but it won’t be a necessity to replace them all because the new DSi is going to be compatible with all the DS games that are out now- except the Guitar Hero game because it uses the GBA slot for the guitar controller. That’s ok because I don’t have that game. I only know that because my nephew has the Guitar Hero game. I don’t really have any interest in that game anyway. My favorite games are the Mario games, and there is a brand new Super Mario game for DS that will work for the DSi too. I love all the Mario games.
