Nintendo DSi Reviews

I remember when the Sony PSP came out. Everyone was scared that the Nintendo handheld games would become extinct, and that all that people would be able to play were Sony games. Fortunately for us, Nintendo came out with the Wii (which is amazing), and came out with the Nintendo DS Lite. Now they’ve come out with the Nintendo DSi in order to cement their place in history as one of the best carriers of handheld video game systems.

The video game industry is one of the most hard fought industries around, and lot of us who have grown up with it know that it’s a constant war between the three top video game companies: Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft (even though Microsoft was a late entry into the game, they bottled gold with their Xbox). Nintendo, though, had the market on handheld devices cornered until Sony made the PSP. But Nintendo came back with the Nintendo DS Lite and managed to make people notice them again with the Wii.

I am only 20 years old, and I’ve played ever conceivable video game system there is. I remember when my father bought me my first Atari, and I remember how much my mother hated it. Now even she can play online internet games like chess and checkers and word games.

While I don’t know if my mother will buy the Nintendo DSi, I know that I will probably be saving up to get it. I love my DS. I have used it more since I came to college than I thought I would. It’s been great. I’ve been able to play it whenever I’m waiting for a class to start, or if I’ve got a really long and boring lecture (but only for the really boring ones), and I’ve been able to play it in my dorm room when my roommate steals the television.

I’m looking forward to looking for where to buy the Nintendo DSi soon, and will be saving up as much money as I can to buy one the instant they become available. I love that you can listen to music from the system and that, when you buy the Nintendo DSi, you’re getting a camera as well as a video game system! It’s like Nintendo realized that they could do one better than the cell phones that are coming out and made a game system that let you do everything you want to do all in one place. I’d love to buy the Nintendo DSi from Japan right now, but exporting it and getting games to suit it (aside from the fact that they’re in Japanese) would be a bit much, so for now I’ll just drool over the Nintendo DSi reviews that I’ve been reading until I can get my own Nintendo DSi system, which, hopefully, will be much sooner than later. I just know that it is going to be a great system to own!
