Two years ago my physical trainer asked that I get the Nintendo Wii. He explained that the Wii would help me to be able to get back into physical shape in a slow steady manner. I am overweight, and have been for most of my life. Before I got the Wii and began playing it, it was hard for me to find the desire to do anything physical. Now, however, I thoroughly enjoy the Wii and have actually used it to help me to lose weight, especially since the Wii Fit came out.
The other day my trainer told me about the Nintendo DSi system. I looked it up online and read tons of reviews, all of them talking about how the DSi is a lot like the DS was. It didn’t make sense to me why my trainer would advise me to think about saving up my money to buy Nintendo DSi when she was doing everything she could to get me on my feet and to keep me on them.
The Pedometer
Then I read about how itis going to have software available that actually has a pedometer with it! It sounded crazy to me at first, but the more I thought about it, the more it makes sense. A pedometer is just a machine that is set to record shifting and jarring. It makes sense that the Nintendo company could actually take that technology and transfer it to the hew system.
No one is quite sure what they are going to get when they figure out where to buy a Nintendo DSi, or if they’re going to be able to purchase the pedometer at the same time as they get it, but it has been confirmed that the pedometer will be available shortly after the system is available, if not right when it becomes available here.
If it’s anything like the Wii, the pedometer will be able to be used with a bunch of different types of games. Like the Wii Fit has a bunch of different games that you can do with it. I’m looking forward to seeing what types of games the pedometer has that can go with it with the DSi.
In reality, I’m extremely excited to be able to go out and to exercise outside in the same way that I exercised inside with the Wii, and I can’t wait to buy a DSi, because I know it’s going to be a whole new way to get fit, for both my body and, if the reviews I’ve read so far can be believed, for my mind as well, especially if the same titles that are available for the DS are going to be available for the new game system. I seriously love Nintendo.
